FEU Tamaraws defeat UP Fighting Maroons 3-0 in UAAP men's volleyball

The Far Eastern University Tamaraws secured their second victory in the UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball tournament by defeating the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons with scores of 25-21, 25-16, and 25-18 on Wednesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

FEU dominated the match in just over an hour, led by Dryx Saavedra's team-high 13 points and Mikko Espartero's 10 points.

Despite a close third set where UP briefly trailed by one point, FEU pulled away with a decisive run led by Amet Bituin and Lirick Mendoza.

FEU's strong performance included 44 attack points, seven blocks, and three service aces compared to UP's 30 attacks, three blocks, and three aces.

With both teams undefeated before this match, FEU will face the National University Bulldogs on Sunday at 12 p.m., while UP takes on Ateneo Blue Eagles earlier that day.

FEU head coach Eddieson Orcullo expressed optimism about their preparation for Sunday's game against NU, noting improvements in receiving and attacking skills.
