Tuguegarao placed under state of calamity amid flooding

Tuguegarao City was placed under a state of calamity on Thursday due to severe flooding caused by recent storms.

The city council unanimously approved the declaration at Mayor Maila Ting-Que's recommendation, aiming to speed up aid delivery to affected families.

Classes in Tuguegarao were suspended from Nov. 3 to 4 as floodwaters persisted in some areas.

In Isabela province, floods have receded but 991 families remained in evacuation centers in Ilagan City.
