Paeng affects over three million Filipinos

Severe Tropical Storm Paeng affected over three million individuals across the Philippines as of Tuesday, November 1.

In Palawan province alone, 7,591 residents were displaced with evacuations taking place in northern towns on Saturday.

The storm destroyed or damaged numerous homes and boats in Palawan, while causing PHP38.35 million worth of damage to agriculture and infrastructure in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

In Central Visayas, over 65,000 people were affected with the DSWD providing assistance such as food packs and hygiene kits.

All evacuees had returned home by Wednesday in Palawan while displaced families across the country are being monitored for further aid.
