Tropical depression Nando enters PAR on Friday night

Tropical depression Nando entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Friday night.

PAGASA reported that Nando was located 1,305 km east of northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gusts up to 70 kph, moving west-northwestward at 20 kph.

Nando is unlikely to directly affect weather or sea conditions in the country within the forecast period but may merge with tropical depression Maring, which is also inside PAR.

Maring is expected to slightly weaken and become a remnant low by Sunday morning.

Moderate to rough seas are prevailing over Luzon's remaining seaboards, western Visayas seaboard, and eastern and western Mindanao seaboard; mariners and seafarers were advised to take precautionary measures.
