Tropical Depression Lannie leaves PAR, heads for Vietnam

Tropical Depression Lannie left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday morning.

As it exited PAR, Lannie was located 770 kilometers west of Calapan City in Oriental Mindoro and was moving northwest at 20 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h.

PAGASA warned that the trough or extension of Lannie may bring rains over Metro Manila, Central and Southern Luzon, Antique, and Aklan.

Earlier, on Tuesday, PAGASA forecasted scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa due to Lannie’s presence.

Lannie is expected to move west northwestward towards central Vietnam in the next 24 hours.
