Manila zones on lockdown over COVID-19 concerns

Zone 4 in Manila, including eight Tondo barangays and parts of Quiapo, were placed under lockdown on Thursday due to non-compliance with home quarantine measures.

Residents are restricted from leaving their homes except for one person per household who can go out to buy essential items with a quarantine pass.

On Wednesday, a street in Barangay 69, Tondo was locked down after a resident tested positive for COVID-19; the barangay chairman said eight families and 43 individuals were affected.

The barangay provided necessities to those under quarantine to prevent them from going out.
