First Pampanga COVID-19 case traced

A Grab driver has tested positive for COVID-19 in Pampanga, making him the first confirmed case in the province.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. is conducting intensive contact tracing of all passengers transported by the infected driver.

The mayor appealed to passengers who rode with the driver to report to city authorities for monitoring and assistance.

Grab Philippines has placed the driver under a 14-day suspension, providing medical and financial support.

The company is also assisting in deep-disinfecting the vehicle used by the driver and working closely with health officials on contact tracing.
