DOH urges Region 8 hospitals, public to prepare for potential surge

The DOH Region 8 has asked hospitals in Eastern Visayas to prepare isolation rooms for potential increases in suspected Covid-19 cases.

DOH regional director Minerva Molon noted that only the EVRMC can admit 18 patients and urged other hospitals to be prepared.

At least three more hospitals have expressed their willingness to treat Covid-19 patients.

The DOH also strongly advised the public to avoid crowded places and mass gatherings due to rising confirmed cases of Covid-19.
