Tacloban implements GCQ with penalties for violators

Tacloban City will implement a general community quarantine (GCQ) from May 1 to 15 as directed by the national Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Mayor Alfred Romualdez warned that penalties including fines and imprisonment will be imposed on establishments and individuals who do not comply with GCQ guidelines.

Romualdez emphasized the need for continued vigilance despite the shift from enhanced community quarantine, stressing the importance of cooperation to prevent further spread of COVID-19.
