Bohol not ready for eased quarantine despite low COVID-19 risk

Bohol Governor Arthur Yap says the province is not ready to downsize quarantine measures despite being classified as a low-risk area for COVID-19.

Yap cited the risk of transmission if restrictions are eased, emphasizing the need for local flexibility in enforcing quarantine rules.

The province remains free of local cases but has 54 probable cases and extended inbound travel suspensions until April 30.

Yap is seeking a week's leeway to reconcile national guidelines with local measures and consult medical experts and businesses on changes from May 1 to May 15.
