Palace: Possible for Duterte to be first vaccine recipient

Malacañang says it is not impossible for President Rodrigo Duterte to be the first person to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Palace spokesperson Harry Roque explained that Duterte emphasized prioritizing frontliners and vulnerable sectors, but also expressed willingness to get vaccinated publicly to boost confidence in the vaccines.

Roque noted that Duterte wants to prioritize the poorest Filipinos while still considering the possibility of being among the first recipients to reassure the public.
