Palace: Sinovac vaccine deal binding but subject to conditions

Malacaŋang stated that the Philippines has a binding obligation to purchase COVID-19 vaccine doses from China's Sinovac.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque clarified this after Finance Undersecretary Mark Joven suggested otherwise during a Senate inquiry.

Roque emphasized that while there is a contract, the actual purchase of CoronaVac doses is subject to conditions such as regulatory approval by the FDA.
