Cignal HD Spikers, Chery Tiggo Crossovers lead PVL All-Filipino play-in pools

Four teams compete for two quarterfinal spots in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference play-in tournament starting Thursday at Philsports Arena.

In Pool A, Cignal HD Spikers secured a crucial victory over Capital1 Solar Spikers with a score of 25-21, 22-25, 25-17, 25-15, putting them on the cusp of entering the playoffs after a surprising loss to Galleries Tower.

Despite the setback, Cignal HD Spikers, led by Captain Dawn Macandili-Catindig and setter Gel Cayuna, bounced back with strong performances and aim to secure their spot in the quarterfinals against ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles on Tuesday, March 11.

Pool B features Chery Tiggo Crossovers against Nxled Chameleons at 4 p.m., alongside Farm Fresh Foxies. On Thursday, Chery Tiggo swept Nxled with a score of 25-22, 26-24, 25-12.

Chery Tiggo Crossovers, despite dealing with manpower issues after Eya Laure's departure, are still considered favorites in Pool B alongside Farm Fresh Foxies. The winner of each pool will advance to a best-of-three series against either Petro Gazz or Creamline in quarterfinals on March 18 at Philsports Arena.
