Chery Tiggo secures first play-in win over Nxled

Chery Tiggo secured their first win in the Premier Volleyball League's inaugural play-in tournament by defeating Nxled with scores of 25-22, 26-24, and 25-12 at the PhilSports Arena on Thursday.

Despite facing a tight second set, Chery Tiggo rallied to victory thanks to strong performances from Ces Robles, Shaya Adorador, and Ara Galang, who scored over ten points each.

Adorador's back-to-back kills were crucial in winning the second set for the Crossovers, while Galang contributed 15 points and combined with Robles for 27 kills that weakened Nxled’s defense.

Shaya Adorador emphasized the importance of teamwork and resilience after earning player of the game honors with 14 points, noting that maintaining confidence is key to future success.

Cess Robles highlighted their determination to regain confidence in practice and carry a 'killer instinct' into their upcoming match against Farm Fresh on Tuesday, March 11.
