Senate resumes probe into COVID-19 vaccine program on Friday

The Senate will resume its inquiry into the Philippines' COVID-19 immunization program on Friday, January 22, at 10 a.m.

Senate President Vicente Sotto III tasked Senator Panfilo Lacson with preparing a shortlist of resource persons for the hearing.

Last week's hearings focused on questioning officials about the terms of agreements with vaccine manufacturers.

Despite criticism that the government is biased towards Chinese vaccines, Carlito Galvez Jr., chief of the National Task Force Against COVID-19, stated they are negotiating with Sinovac to secure the best price.
