PH pledges $100K to COVAX, secures up to 40M free doses

The Philippines has pledged USD100,000 to the COVAX facility during the Asean Foreign Ministers' Retreat.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. confirmed that the country will get up to 40 million doses of free coronavirus vaccines from COVAX this quarter.

National Policy against Covid-19 chief implementer and vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. announced that the Philippines has secured around 30 to 40 million doses of vaccines for free under the COVAX facility.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III and vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. confirmed that the country will receive its first doses from the COVAX facility within the first quarter of 2021.
