Sara backs Isko for Manila mayor, mocks rival Valeriano

Vice President Sara Duterte endorsed former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno at a campaign rally for his mayoral bid on Thursday, April 24 and attended another caucus led by him in Quiapo on Friday, April 25.

Duterte referred to Moreno as the 'beloved mayor of the city of Manila' and thanked him for allowing senatorial candidates from the Duterte slate to campaign at his events.

She also mocked reelectionist Manila 2nd District Representative Rolando Valeriano, endorsing his rival former three-term congressman Carlo Lopez instead.

The Vice President is expected to attend more campaign sorties in Baseco and Sta. Ana in Manila on Saturday night.

Several candidates including Makati Mayor Abby Binay and Partido Lakas ng Masa candidate Luke Espiritu barnstormed various areas Saturday, April 26 to continue their campaigns two weeks before the May 12 elections.
