San Miguel wins 30th PBA title, halts TNT's Grand Slam bid

San Miguel secured their record-extending 30th championship in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday, July 25, defeating TNT with a final score of 107-96.

CJ Perez led San Miguel with a series-high 24 points and six assists in Game 6, while June Mar Fajardo contributed an efficient outing with 24 points and 12 rebounds.

San Miguel's victory marks their eleventh championship in the All-Filipino tournament, halting TNT's dreams of completing a Grand Slam that had been elusive since 2010-11.

TNT head coach Chot Reyes commended his players for their hard-fought campaign despite facing significant injuries throughout the series and finishing without key players like Poy Erram and Simon Enciso.

Owner Manny V. Pangilinan expressed appreciation and gratitude to TNT's players, acknowledging their efforts in winning two out of three championships during the season and emphasizing that their performance was not something to be ashamed of despite falling short of completing a historic Grand Slam.
