Khobuntin set to break PBA record in Game 6

Glenn Khobuntin is set to break a PBA record when he plays in his 75th game for TNT in Game 6 of the Philippine Cup Finals against San Miguel Beer on Friday, July 25.

Khobuntin tied the current record of 74 games played in a season after scoring two points and grabbing three rebounds during Game 5 on Wednesday, July 23.

The previous record was set by Ato Agustin in 1992, later matched by Jojo Lastimosa, Johnny Abarrientos, Danny Ildefonso, and Mike Mustre.

Khobuntin's consistency is even more remarkable given that several of his teammates have been sidelined or are playing through injuries during the Finals.

TNT trails San Miguel Beer 3-2 in the series but hopes to clinch a historic trifecta with a victory in Game 6, which would also mark Khobuntin’s record-breaking appearance.
