Fajardo leads San Miguel 1 game from Philippine Cup title

June Mar Fajardo celebrated a pivotal win that put San Miguel Beer one game away from clinching the PBA Philippine Cup title on Sunday night.

Fajardo, who also earned his 12th Best Player of the Conference award, emphasized that his team's goal is not yet accomplished despite their 3-1 lead over TNT in the Finals.

The veteran center contributed a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds to help San Miguel secure a crucial 105-91 victory at Mall of Asia Arena.

Fajardo stressed that closing out the series on Wednesday is critical to avoid giving TNT momentum, as they aim to deny the Tropang 5G a Grand Slam.

San Miguel Beer now has a chance to clinch the title in Game 5 this Wednesday at Araneta Coliseum.
