San Beda beats EAC 89-59 in men's basketball

San Beda University secured a dominant 89-59 victory over Emilio Aguinaldo College in their men's basketball tournament match on Wednesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre, avenging an earlier loss to EAC.

Emman Tagle led San Beda with a game-high 20 points, including five triples, while Bismarck Lina contributed 18 points and four rebounds.

San Beda's strong performance in the second quarter helped them build a significant lead of 48-29 at halftime, which they maintained throughout the remainder of the game.

With this win, San Beda improved their overall record to 10-5, putting them close behind Mapua University for the second seed position and securing their twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.

San Beda coach Yuri Escueta emphasized that this victory is crucial for their confidence as they head into their remaining three games against Letran, College of Saint Benilde, and San Sebastian College-Recoletos.
