Jimboy Estrada leads Letran past San Beda, ends 2-year losing streak

Jimboy Estrada secured Letran's victory over San Beda with crucial shots in the final minutes of their NCAA Season 100 men's basketball match on Sunday, ending a two-year losing streak against their rivals.

Estrada scored a game-high 24 points and made key plays, including two critical jumpers late in the fourth quarter to help Letran win 75-71, keeping alive their hopes for a Final Four spot.

Despite San Beda's strong performance, Letran's victory leaves them tied with Lyceum and Emilio Aguinaldo College at 8-9, with only one game left before the playoffs.

Letran must defeat Arellano University on Wednesday to have a chance at securing a playoff for the Final Four slot or a stepladder system if both EAC and LPU also win their remaining games.
