CSB secures seventh straight win, leads NCAA standings

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde secured its seventh consecutive victory in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament on Friday, defeating Colegio de San Juan de Letran with a score of 83-78.

The Blazers' win not only extends their winning streak but also strengthens their position at the top of the standings with a record of 13 wins and 2 losses.

After a slow start to the game, CSB staged a huge second-quarter rally to turn back Letran, leading by as many as 16 points early in the fourth quarter before sealing the victory.

Leading scorers for the Blazers were Allen Liwag with 20 points and Justin Sanchez with an all-around performance of 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.

The Knights have struggled recently, losing three consecutive games including Friday's match that dropped them to a 7-9 record.
