DSWD provides PHP26M aid for Typhoon Rolly victims

As of Thursday Nov 5, the DSWD has provided PHP26.6 million worth of aid to individuals affected by Super Typhoon Rolly in various regions.

The agency's Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center reported that help was extended to 301,487 families from 4,202 barangays across different areas.

DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista stated on Wednesday that the department has adequate funds for disaster relief operations with PHP866 million available and a quick response fund of P239.7 million.

Bautista personally went to Catanduanes on Tuesday to oversee aid distribution, distributing 1,320 family food packs in collaboration with local authorities.
