Church appeals for cash donations to help Rolly victims

The Catholic Church and affiliated groups are appealing for donations, particularly cash contributions, to help victims of Super Typhoon Rolly that hit the Bicol region and parts of Luzon over the weekend.

Caritas Manila plans to send financial assistance to five dioceses in Bicol: Caceres, Daet, Gumaca, Legazpi, and Virac.

Cash donations will be used to purchase relief items such as food, shelter materials, clean water, bedding, and hygiene supplies.

Caritas Philippines National Chairperson Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo assured that Caritas is ready to provide aid to affected dioceses and has been coordinating with social action centers in all potentially impacted areas.
