DA: Rice supply stable despite Rolly, Quinta damages

The Department of Agriculture (DA) reported that despite damage from Typhoons Rolly and Quinta, the country's rice production remains stable.

Typhoon Rolly alone caused PHP2 billion worth of agricultural damage, affecting 116,962 metric tons of produce across 30,094 farmers and fisherfolk in various regions.

Quinta caused an additional PHP2.56 billion in damages, affecting nearly 50,000 farmers and impacting 145,577 metric tons of agricultural goods.

Total damage from both typhoons is estimated at PHP4.6 billion, with rice crops accounting for the majority of losses.
