Electric coops deploy linemen to restore power in typhoon-affected areas

Electric cooperatives from Region 2 and Cordillera Administrative Region deployed teams of linemen on Wednesday to help restore power in typhoon-affected areas in Luzon.

Philreca, NEA, and One EC Network Foundation coordinated the deployment of ten teams with an average of seven linemen each from various electric cooperatives in Cagayan Valley and CAR.

These teams were sent to Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, and Marinduque, which suffered severe damage from Typhoons Quinta and Rolly.

In addition, 100 linemen from Eastern Visayas' electric cooperatives were dispatched on Tuesday to assist in power restoration efforts in the typhoon-hit Bicol Region.
