Rain or Shine cuts deficit to 2-1 with Game 3 win over TNT

Despite losing the first two games of their PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinal series against TNT Tropang Giga, Rain or Shine secured a crucial 93-88 victory in Game 3 on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum, narrowing the series deficit to 2-1.

Coach Yeng Guiao remains optimistic about his team’s playoff experience and future improvement, noting that this result is beneficial for their young squad's growth despite previous close losses.

Rain or Shine reduced its deficit in the best-of-seven series with key contributions from import Deon Thompson (19 points, 18 rebounds) and rookie Caelan Tiongson (18 points, seven rebounds), while Adrian Nocum earned Player of the Game honors with 16 points and eight boards.

TNT's veteran guard Jayson Castro was ruled out for the rest of the playoffs after a knee injury in Game 2, affecting TNT’s performance throughout the contest Rain or Shine desperately needed to win.

Rain or Shine will try to even things up in Game 4 on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
