TNT advances to PBA finals, faces Ginebra this Fri

TNT has advanced to the finals of the PBA Commissioner's Cup after defeating Rain or Shine on Friday, March 7.

Both TNT and Ginebra are set for a potential title showdown this Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena, with Troy Rosario emerging as an X-factor for Ginebra due to his familiarity with TNT from previous seasons.

In their decisive win over Rain or Shine, TNT leaned on import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson who scored 42 points, helping the team overcome a double-digit deficit to secure the finals spot; Hollis-Jefferson believes that facing Rain or Shine prepared them for the physicality and toughness of Ginebra.

Ginebra's roster changes with Troy Rosario and returning players Jamie Malonzo and Jeremiah Gray could alter the dynamics of the upcoming series against TNT, making it a 'more difficult' challenge as per coach Chot Reyes.

TNT head coach Chot Reyes and Hollis-Jefferson both agreed that willpower and intangibles like desire and effort will be crucial factors in determining the outcome of the finals series.
