QC reports high COVID-19 recovery rate at 55%

As of Saturday, July 18, Quezon City reported 5,113 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 2,022 active cases and a death toll of 266.

The city recorded 49 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,725.

Quezon City attributes its high recovery rate of 55% to community care facilities like HOPE 1 and HOPE 2 where patients with mild symptoms are admitted and cared for until they test negative.

The city's recovery rate is higher than the active case rate and even reached 61% on June 30, contrasting with the NCR average.
