Health Workers at Cotabato Regional Medical Center Tested After Coronavirus Exposure

Cotabato Regional and Medical Center is testing 1,400 health workers after some showed symptoms of coronavirus following exposure to a three-year-old boy from Lanao del Sur who tested positive for the virus.

The hospital, which serves as the referral center for Region 12 and parts of BARMM, has limited admissions due to staff under quarantine; currently, there are 14 confirmed cases and 11 suspected cases.

Cotabato City has recorded 22 confirmed cases with a recovery rate of 68%, and Mayor Frances Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi has issued directives to prevent local transmission by restricting entry for non-residents without proper certification.
