Manila ship terminal converted into COVID-19 treatment facility

The Eva Macapagal Super Terminal in Manila has been converted into a treatment facility for COVID-19 patients and is now operational.

The facility, completed ahead of schedule with assistance from various agencies including the DOTr, PCG, and private companies, can accommodate 211 patients across different zones based on severity of infection.

Features include hospital beds, portable lavatories, air-conditioning, airtight doors to prevent airborne pathogens, and open-air dining facilities.

Two ships from the 2Go Group are also docked at Pier 15 for quarantine purposes.
