PH allows Filipino-manned foreign cruise ships to dock in Manila

Foreign cruise ships carrying Filipino crew are now allowed to dock in Manila ports.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) have approved this measure as part of efforts to contain COVID-19.

Filipino crew members will undergo a 14-day quarantine on board their ships, while foreign crew may disembark only to take outbound flights abroad after completing their quarantine period.

The DFA and IATF will determine the suitability of cruise ships for use as quarantine facilities based on guidelines issued by relevant agencies.
