Police seize P3.8M shabu from 'Darwin', P387K from CJ in separate ops

On Saturday, April 27, law enforcement officers seized over P3.8 million worth of shabu from an alleged high-value drug trafficker in Balayan town, Batangas.

Early Tuesday, April 30, police arrested a suspected drug trafficker and his associate in San Pedro City, Laguna, seizing more than P387,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation.

Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas reported that the suspect identified as 'Darwin' was arrested after selling drugs to a poseur buyer, while CJ and Myra were detained for selling shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Nueva.

During Darwin's arrest, authorities confiscated 14 sachets and five plastics containing 563 grams of shabu worth more than P3.8 million along with a digital scale, while CJ and Myra had three plastic sachets containing meth weighing 57 grams with an estimated value of P387,600.

Both Darwin and CJ were classified as 'HVI' or high-value individuals in their respective local drug trades, indicating significant roles in the illegal narcotics market.

Authorities are now investigating the source of the seized drugs and have detained both suspects who face charges under Republic Act 9165 for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
