PNP seizes P9.7B worth of drugs, arrests 1,051 suspects in Calabarzon

Police anti-narcotics operatives in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon (Calabarzon) seized over P9.7 billion worth of illegal drugs during a month-long operation in April.

The Philippine National Police confiscated more than P6.2 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 120 suspected traffickers in Quezon province alone.

In addition to drug arrests, authorities apprehended 163 wanted felons and 833 illegal gamblers involved in various forms of unlawful gambling across the region.

Police also made significant seizures of 1.427 tons of shabu (crystal meth) and 2,764 grams of marijuana during anti-illegal drug operations that led to the arrest of 1,051 suspects throughout Calabarzon.
