PDEA, police seize PHP10M shabu in raids

On Monday afternoon, police in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte, arrested a suspected major drug dealer with P2.7 million worth of 'shabu' drugs, while on Tuesday, anti-drug operatives seized over one kilo of shabu worth more than PHP7 million from a 35-year-old supplier in Metro Cebu.

The suspect in Sultan Kudarat, identified as Jobert Paches, 27, was apprehended during a buy-bust operation conducted by police and anti-narcotics operatives at 3 p.m. in Barangay Limbo, while the suspect in Cebu City, known only as 'Pao-Pao', was operating across various cities and towns.

Since January, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region have seized over PHP50 million worth of illegal drugs in the region, and from April 19 to 21, PRO-7 reported a total of 176 drug personalities apprehended for illegal drugs resulting in nearly two kilos of suspected shabu worth PHP11.5 million confiscated.
