PNP vows aid for cop's newborn after mother dies of COVID

PNP chief Police Gen. Guillermo Eleazar vowed support for the newborn baby of a 31-year-old policewoman who died from COVID-19 shortly after giving birth.

The policewoman, assigned in General Santos City, tested positive on August 5 and delivered her baby via cesarean section on August 10. She was transferred to another hospital on August 13 due to symptoms but passed away before receiving the test results which confirmed she had COVID-19.
