PNP records 100th COVID-19 death among personnel

As of Monday, Aug 23, the Philippine National Police (PNP) recorded a total of 100 fatalities among its personnel due to COVID-19.

The latest fatality was a 44-year-old police staff sergeant from Police Regional Office 1 who had underlying health conditions and was fully vaccinated but succumbed to the virus on August 22.

As of Monday, PNP reported 33,438 total cases with 150 new infections, bringing the number of recoveries to 31,492 and active cases to 1,846.
