Philippines logs 2,605 new COVID-19 cases; active tally at 33,526

On Sunday, Nov 7, 2021, the Philippines reported 2,605 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 2,803,213.

Active cases increased to 33,526 with 66% mild, 5.7% asymptomatic, 9% severe, and 3.8% critical.

Total recoveries rose to 2,725,257 after 3,901 more patients recovered; the death toll climbed to 44,430 with 191 new fatalities.

The DOH noted that 13 duplicates were removed and 151 cases previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths.

ICU bed utilization was at 42% while mechanical ventilators were 25% in use.
