PH recovery count climbs to 2.7M

The Philippines' total number of recovered COVID-19 cases has reached 2,698,871 after 5,825 new recoveries were reported on Sunday.

Active cases increased to 45,233 with about 73.6 percent being mild, 4.9 percent asymptomatic, 2.9 percent critical, and 6.8 percent severe.

The death toll rose by 128 to 43,172 while new infections brought the total number of active cases nationwide to 45,233.

The positivity rate was at 7.2 percent based on data from October 29.

The Department of Health (DOH) also reported that 23 new COVID-19 cases were recorded among PNP personnel, bringing the total tally to 41,828 with recoveries increasing by 48 to 41,210.
