PNP: Granular lockdown areas nationwide rise to 170

The number of areas under granular lockdown in the country has risen to 170 from 116 as of Wednesday, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

On Tuesday, there were 116 granular lockdown areas; a day earlier, there were 85.

As of Tuesday, 94 areas under lockdown were reported in NCR; 57 from Cagayan; 13 from Ilocos; five from Mimaropa; and one from Cordillera.

At least 702 people have been affected by the granular lockdowns, with 217 PNP personnel and 274 force multipliers deployed to ensure security and adherence to health standards.
