PNP death toll hits 47 as vaccinations reach 7.7K

As of Wednesday, April 14, a police staff sergeant died due to COVID-19 in Metro Manila, increasing the PNP's death toll to 47.

The latest fatality tested positive on April 6 and experienced flu-like symptoms but refused medical attention until his condition worsened.

A total of 7,746 PNP front-liners have been vaccinated as of Wednesday, including 5,955 with Sinovac vaccines and 1,791 with AstraZeneca jabs.

As of April 12, the number of active cases within the PNP increased to 2,391 while recoveries rose to 15,200 after 272 additional officers recovered.
