PLDT secures AVC win, advances to quarterfinals

PLDT secured its first victory in the AVC Women's Champions League with a convincing 3-0 win over Queensland Pirates on Sunday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

The High Speed Hitters dominated the Australian squad, winning each set by significant margins: 25-19, 25-12, and 25-12 after overcoming an initial deficit.

PLDT advanced to the quarterfinals of the AVC Women's Champions League as Thai club Nakhon Ratchasima defeated Queensland Pirates on Monday, securing PLDT's position in Pool D.

Nakhon and PLDT will face each other on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena for the top seed in their group with both teams currently tied at 1-0.

PLDT is set to take on either the first or second seed from Pool A depending on the outcome of their match against Nakhon Ratchasima.
