Petro Gazz advances to AVC Women's Champions League quarterfinals

Petro Gazz secured their quarterfinal spot in the AVC Women's Champions League after defeating Hong Kong's Hip Hing in straight sets on Tuesday, April 22, at the PhilSports Arena.

The match ended with scores of 25-8, 25-12, and 25-12, improving Petro Gazz’s record to 1-1 and ensuring their advancement along with PLDT and Creamline.

All three Philippine-based teams—Petro Gazz, PLDT, and Creamline—qualified for the quarterfinals after three days of pool play, enhancing the Philippines' medal chances in the tournament.

Petro Gazz will face Beijing Baic Motor on Thursday, April 24, while PLDT takes on Zhetysu VC and Creamline faces Nakhon Ratchasima Qmin C VC.
