Phillips announces final season with La Salle after Game 3 loss

Mike Phillips has announced he will play his final season with La Salle after their loss to UP in Game 3 of the Season 87 men's basketball finals on December 15.

Phillips expressed gratitude for La Salle's support throughout his career and vowed to give it his all next season despite the heartbreak of this year's Finals, emphasizing his commitment to the team and community.

Despite leading the Green Archers with an average of 17.6 points and 11.6 rebounds in the finals, Phillips fouled out in the decisive Game 3 loss at the Araneta Coliseum.

Phillips will lead La Salle next season alongside new transferees Mason Amos, Jacob Cortez, Luis Pablo, Kean Baclaan as they prepare for their title redemption bid in Season 88.

With Kevin Quiambao moving to the Korean Basketball League, Phillips is expected to take on a larger role and continue his leadership as La Salle aims to reclaim its title.
