Philippines to have fair weather with isolated rain showers

The Philippines will experience generally fair weather with isolated rain showers on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Easterly winds are expected to cause isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Quezon, Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas.

A cloud cluster was monitored in the Sulu Sea, bringing scattered rains over a large part of the Visayas but is forecasted to dissipate within the day.

The death toll from recent tropical cyclones and enhanced southwest monsoon 'habagat' has climbed to 26, with 393,014 families or 1.47 million individuals affected in 13 regions.

Of those affected, around 5,362 families are sheltered in evacuation centers, while another 2,878 families receive aid outside.

Damage to agriculture and infrastructure was estimated at PHP600.8 million and PHP22.5 million respectively.
