Habagat affects N Luzon, E Visayas with rain, flash floods

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is affecting Northern Luzon and Eastern Visayas on Sunday, September 22, with potential for rain in several areas, according to PAGASA.

Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to Habagat, potentially leading to flash floods or landslides.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region may also see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by easterlies.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, which may trigger flash floods and landslides in affected areas.

Coastal waters will be rough in the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon, while Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate coastal waters.
