Tropical Depression Igme exits PAR, brings rains to Northern Luzon

Tropical Depression Igme exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday morning and continues to bring rains across parts of Northern Luzon due to the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), while weather conditions are improving in other areas.

As of 3 a.m., Igme was located 535 kilometers north northwest of Itbayan, Batanes, moving westward at 15 kph with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gusts up to 70 km/h.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Residents in affected areas are warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Strong winds and rough seas will be felt over the western and northern sections of Northern Luzon, while moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over the rest of Luzon.

Light to moderate winds and light to moderate seas will prevail over the rest of the archipelago.
