Philippines imposes Metro Manila quarantine, restricts travel

President Duterte announced a community quarantine for Metro Manila starting March 15 due to the COVID-19 threat.

The quarantine restricts land, domestic air, and sea travel to and from NCR until April 14, but allows movement of goods.

DOH advised travelers leaving NCR without symptoms to undergo home quarantine upon return; symptomatic individuals should seek medical attention.

Officials from DOTr, DILG, and DOH will meet to define the rules for the community quarantine.
