Enhanced community quarantine in Luzon starts Tuesday night

Starting Tuesday night, an enhanced community quarantine will be implemented in Luzon due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Classes and all school activities are suspended until April 14.

In government, work is on a work-from-home arrangement except for essential services like PNP, AFP, PCG, health and emergency frontline services, border control, and critical services.

Private establishments providing basic necessities such as public markets, supermarkets, groceries, convenience stores, hospitals, medical clinics, pharmacies, food delivery services, water-refilling stations, manufacturing plants of basic food products and medicines, banks, money transfer services, power, energy, water, and telecommunications facilities will remain open with strict social distancing measures.

Managements of these establishments must ensure a skeletal workforce to support operations.
